Design Nestled in a Small Yard including Entertainment Areas, Raised Sun Deck, and a BBQ Spatial Design

This pool is a Geometric shape with its raised deck and still able to maintain all entertainment area ideas for the homeowner. Smaller yard with hillside considerations in the County of Orange, Southern California. We were able to implement a nice, efficient design incorporating the natural sun movement for the swimming pool environment. Located in a newer development area in Lake Forest, Orange County, California this project design had its difficulties; although we overcame them. A usable space to the homeowner while still utilizing the area for entertainment value including a raised sun deck and BBQ area. And a wonderful splash pool that is easy to heat to a comfortable degree.

California, Small Corner Yard, Swimming Pool Design with Fire Feature and Shelf Design

Elegant California Swimming Pool and Spa that Fits Any Situation

Elegance, class, entertaining, or simply lounging on the shelf doing what you do. This swimming pool and spa combination is nestled in a left, rear corner of the residence. Taking advantage of the side yard is a nice firepit area adjacent to the raised spa for conversation and laughter as well as a BBQ entertainment area in the main portion of the swimming pool including entry shelf and lounge design. This particular pool has separate pour concrete for coping with a finish to bring out the aggregate. A mini-pebble plaster coating and trim tile with 1×1 tiles to finish along the waterline and Raised Bond Beam areas. Also visible are Jandy Sheer Descent Water Features and Ledge Loungers, that we are an exclusive partner with, for that finishing touch. And in conclusion, it’s on a remote system that you may operate from an App on your Phone or any device.

This project is a wonderful example of utilizing the entire backyard space for backyard, outdoor, California Living. Relatively minimal hillside engineering with a free-standing swimming pool. In the design are custom fire glass and artistic fire bowls with water spill off for a decorative, enjoyable, backyard evening entertainment area. The Old Skool Woody Pool

Classic California Outdoor Living and Swimming Pool Environment

This is a very elegant swimming pool and spa combination with a homeowner flair. Any Californian knows the fun in a Classic Woody car. This Swimming Pool has a descent area for the kids and fun for the adults as well as integrating into its surroundings. The equipment is behind the Raised Bond Beam while still meeting City Building Codes as well as Standard California Building Codes. There are Jandy Sheer Descents water features and it is lined with a Quartz additive plaster. 1×1 tiles give the waterline and Raised Bond Beam a ‘pop’ in look.

Special Events or a Table for Two

A Laguna Beach backyard tucked away in the slope with a 7’ Retaining Water Wall. This water-features connects to the plumbing of the pool in a single filtration system. A wonderful entertainment space to accommodate special events, family events, and even a relaxing setting is available with lighting controls and iAquaLink remote systems. This custom swimming pool backyard may perform as a Las Vegas sportsbook or, an evening with wine for two.

An enjoyable Southern California backyard transformed into a breath taking California Oasis for Everyone. Utilizing existing conditions and the slope, Swan Pools used portions of the custom swimming pool construction as a retaining wall by creating a Raised Bond Beam tied into the structure of the pool. Swan Pools Remodel

‘Warm California Days with a Fun and Entertaining Evening’ is a Swan Pools Remodel project with an existing customer. A wonderful design to begin with however the homeowner wanted to make some substantiated changes. Additions were made to create a ‘baby pool’ shelf with simple barriers for the Grandchildren while still maintaining the estetic and design of the pool. Adult supervision is always mandatory with minors in the swimming pool, however this created a play area for the entire Family. We modified the raised, fire feature to a design that was compatible with everyone’s ideas. With new lights, plaster, tile, and upgraded remote systems this Swan Pools Remodel turned out very well for our clients. The complete backyard boasts a large barbeque bar, patio area, and a putting green. Indeed There are Warm California Days with some Fun and Entertaining Evenings.

Swan Pools Custom Swimming Pool Design at the Grandparents’ House for the Family and Grandchildren

A unique project in designing for the entire family with spacial concerns and utility easements. Swan Pools ‘Complete Family Fun’ design incorporates two safety railings in the swimming pool entry and spa respectively for assisted entry. The swimming pool is plaster with a mini-pebblecoat for traction and durability. There are several swimming pool seats or swim-outs for use. And the grotto, waterfall, and swim-out is fun to get out, climb up the stairs with faux-natural railing, and plunge the pool in an artificial rock slide even with a waterfall splash over effect like a water-park. All portions of the pool are controlled by a remote system so various zones maybe controlled and turned on only when desired. A Complete California Family Fun from Swan Pools.

Modern California Pool Oasis

‘A Modern California Oasis’ incorporates a redesigned California backyard taking in mind existing grade, slopes, retaining walls and new swimming pool construction requirements. A rectangular, modern design swimming pool and raised spa incorporating a raised deck area built into the slope. Retaining walls and additional structural engineering were required but standard for Swan Pools in their Design Process. Artificial Turf with a Palm Springs vibe. A good size River Shelf is there in the shallow end for small swimmers or a lounge. Addingto the pools design into the existing surroundings and walls is a Xeriscaped, native California plants, Landscaping for a full effect and maintainable California easy lifestyle.

Bliss in a Tight Space – Swan Pools

The owners were super excited and committed to having a pool and spa, as well as a slide and grotto for their kids and themselves to have as much fun in the space as possible. Expectations were high therefore quality, value and reliability were of paramount and non-negotiable criteria in the Design Stage of their project. Tuscany Watering Hole

If you blink you might believe your were lounging at your swimming pool and spa watering hole on your vacation house in Tuscany.

Swan Pools, the creators of custom swimming pool designs since 1954, was recently awarded Silver by the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals for their designs and construction for the 2008 calendar year. The California pool builders won for their design titled “Traditional Tuscan Villa” in the Residential Traditional category (600 sq. ft. or less). This Irvine design incorporated traditional Tuscan materials using rustic stone and brick, while sandstone 3M Color Quartz was used in the custom swimming pool and spa to create a charming, warm and tranquil entertainment area. The project was completed with an outdoor barbeque, wood burning fire ring and raised sun deck. The pool area’s balanced symmetry is blanketed by authentic Mediterranean landscapes, which light up exquisitely at nighttime with a myriad of colors. Leaping laminar jets, waterfalls and sheer descents finish the swimming pool landscaping, creating a true beauty resembling a Tuscan Mediterranean Oasis.

Grandiose Living

Swimming pool remodel with new built in spa. Fire, pergola, and outdoor living in grand style, Laguna Hills, California.

This was an entire backyard remodel including repairing a water feature pergola that was falling apart, landscaping and entertainment areas. The existing swimming pool and spa were detached and rectangular in shape while the yard was large and free flowing in nature. The backyard elements were disjointed and cluttered together giving you a claustrophobic feeling. We removed the existing in-ground spa and created a new swimming pool shape that flowed with the property lines. An incredible amount of forming, steel and gunite were used to make these new pool beams and to attach and raise the spa with fire elements and a rip rap waterfall overflow into the pool. Also, the pergola was repaired structurally, electrically, and equipped with a new ‘rain’ 6 feet water feature cascading into the spa. New efficient equipment with remotes and LED lighting were installed. The end result was a much warmer feeling environment that opened up to the visitor and homeowner blending BBQ, Fireplace, and Lounge Entertainment areas that flowed naturally with the pool, spa, and property boundaries.

What was particularly challenging and requiring an unusual level of creativity were the levels and elevations that needed to be thought out in the design process, communicated to crews, and then having everybody work together from excavation, forming, steel, plumbing, gunite and then to the mason in order to achieve the end result. Large amounts of thought was needed to plan for building a new spa in an existing 8’ deep pool, while adding gas lines, electrical lines, and drains into these new pool and spa walls. And then finally, being able to apply the finishing touches and have everything fit neatly together. There was a tremendous amount of material removed from the yard but a lot stayed including portions of the pool beam and pergola which dictated the exact elevations that elements needed to finish at.

This particular swimming pool and raised spa project was challenging to fit the homeowner’s dreams of an elegant meandering pool with lush landscaping through a very small space; not to mention a very large spa. We were able to create a bridge over the pool veneered in the same stone material as the pool coping tieing together the pool house with the rest of the residence and entertainment area with stepping stones amongst new grass seed following the shape of the pool. The vibrant natural colors of the stone are brought out in contrast to the deep blue crystals in the color plaster and the lush landscaping.

Swimming Pool Party Time

Swimming pool and spa party time with this complete swimming pool construction and entertainment area in Ladera Ranch, California. You can feel the electricity in the air by simply stepping out your back door. The plaster is Tahoe Blue Pebblecoat and Jandy Digital Color LED lights are used. The coping around the pool and spa is Red Mountain with as mush rust and color variation as possible. The ledger stone is from the same Red Mountain variety and hand crafted on-site for the veneer on the Firering, Raised Bond Beam, and all vertical surfaces. The Decking is Harvest Gold with 4’x4′ scoring and has a sandblast finish. The water features are custom water pots. Completing this swimming pool backyard entertainment design is a complete landscape design and low voltage lighting performed by Swan Landscaping.

Hot Fire, Blue Pool

Warmth and emotion gently come over you with the cool ocean breeze from down the hill in this elegant and bold backyard in Newport Beach, California. A geometric swimming pool and spa installed with fire bowls and a fire pit entertainment areaa. The +18″ Raised Bond Beam and waterline tile are veneered in Bellagio tile with white grout. The pilasters and other vertical surfaces are veneered in a Classic Ledger Stone. All swimming pool, spa, fire ring, pilaster and wall caps are capped in Quartzite Coping 12″x12″ tile pieces. The plaster is Midnight Blue Pebblecoat and is complete with Jandy Digital Color LED lights and PDA Remote system. Barely noticable is the swimming apparatice at the far end of the pool for exercising and fun in a relatively tight space. The backyard is xeriscaped with succulants, natural ground coverings and stones.

Infinity edge spa and a playful swimming pool with 4 deck jets performing a delightful water show in Laguna Niguel, California. The deck jets are in the separate pour stegmeier coping which is a San Diego Buff color. The raised spa and water line are veneered in artistic tile called Quartzite STXLPINWHEEL. the grout is a custom Pearl color. The plaster is Tahoe Blue Pebblecoat. The decking is Yosemite Brown, 3’x3′ scored and a brush finish. All wall veneer and around the fire ring is a Durango stone, Noche Honed. The playful yet elegant backyard oasis is completed with landscaping performed by Swan Landscaping.

Classic Grecian Villa

This backyard environment was styled after a classic grecian theme complimenting a newly remodeled 1940’s circa mediterranean villa in Newport Beach. Winning Gold at the APSP International Awards of Excellence, this environment is designed for entertaining a large, extended family highlighted with separate pour cantilever coping in a “Swoop” style for relaxation in the centered spa. Nestled next to a real wood fire pit, this pool has 3M Blue/Green Color Quartz crystals mixed with gray plaster and soft varying colors from the Jandy Digital Color pool and spa lights. With the two custom brick pilasters and the relaxing sounds from the three Sheer Descent water features along the 18″ Raised Bond Beam, one feels like they are whisked away to the Greek Isles.

A Private Beach

A NSPI Silver Design Award winner, this Laguna Niguel home was blessed with a generous, open space protected by a steep hillside. Broad, sweeping walkways and stone risers subtly break the islands housing the spa, sun deck and fire pit. A gently sloping beach entry and understated waterfalls suggest a tropical lagoon. The pool area is accented with several varieties of stone, natural brushed concrete and blue Pebblecoat, and finished with Swan landscaping.

A Modern Classic

This contemporary Laguna Niguel home had a sweeping vista, but little room to move. We solved the problem with elegant geometry. A perfectly proportioned rectangular pool leaves ample entertainment space. Smooth white plaster and textured interlocking paving provide textural contrast. The precise arcs of six pencil-thin fountains make it a work of art.

A Tropical Oasis

This intimate creation was inspired by the natural majesty of a palm grove in the corner of a Laguna Niguel property. Great columns of trees frame a waterfall of real stone, cascading into an organically shaped spa surrounded by Three Rivers stone hardscape.

An Intimate Garden

Here, a simple, sloping Laguna Niguel yard is transformed into a terraced paradise with an Asian influence. A blue Pebblecoat plaster creates two jewels in a sculptured setting of Red Mountain stone. Between them, a spillway fountain creates hypnotic sound and motion.

In this Tustin home, guests can wander between the warmth of a fire ring and the cool pleasures of a spa and pool, walking across a stone deck to concrete surfaces with stamped and natural, brushed textures. Organic architectural shapes are complemented by a casual Swan Pools landscape design.

Here, we are inspired by the classic swimming hole. Sculpted with generous quantities of genuine Red Mountain river rock and surrounded by irrigated planters, this Stockton property has the look, the feel and the sound of a riverside hollow – a pool that Huck Finn might have designed.
